So my recommendation to Adobe is that they get rid of the wizard that asks you if you want to upgrade your Lightroom 1.4 catalogs. They should even warn users that they should only create new catalogs in Lightroom 2.0. That apparently would solve a lot of the problems that they are having with this new release.
Meanwhile I’ve started to clean up my keywords in my new catalog. I’m also finding the capabilities of this version amazing. The graduated filter helps to keep the dynamic range of the picture closer to what you saw with your eyes. And having a tool to do selective edits is great.
